Some of them are very intricate, and prove that this apparently unhinged, irrational individual could produce real feats of contrapuntal complexity. This motet in praise of the Virgin was published in 1603 and has a beautiful restrained fervour. The second section, beginning at 1.32 (repeated at 2.48) is where the piece really comes into focus.
